More about Enrollment Freeze to Child Care Assistance Program Effective ImmediatelyLarimer County has applied for State of Colorado Community Development Block Grant-COVID (CDBG_CV)Funds to support two months of a non congregate shelter, an Isolation, Recovery and Quarantine (IRQ) site, for people experiencing homelessness and Community Corrections participants who have tested positive for COVID-19 and need a location to safely recover. Unhoused individuals don't have their own home to isolate or quarantine in; the community is offering the IRQ site from December 2021-May 2022. The CDBG-CV funds will leverage federal assistance from FEMA that is funding the first four months of operations. The Health District of Northern Colorado will operate the site. Patients at the IRQ will be admitted through a referral process from area service providers.
Learn more about the project through this recorded public hearing from November 30.
The full CDBG-CV application will be available December 8, 2021, on this page.
